Saturday's conversation, slightly abridged.
me: what do you want to do today?
nathan: i don't know, what do you want to do?
me: i don't know.
nathan: hmm. let's go for a drive somewhere.
me: okay.
nathan: where?
me: hmm...
nathan: ocean city?
me: ha, no.
nathan: it's 3 now, we could be there for dinner, then turn around sunday morning and drive back.
me: again, no.
nathan: (silence)
me: do you want to drive to baltimore?
nathan: inner harbor?
me: yeah!
And it was so. damn. tasty! We both did the prix fixe menu. First course was cream of crab soup (um, completely delicious), the main course was crab cakes for me, steak for him, and dessert was key lime tart for me, raspberry cheesecake for him.
They had a pretty impressive wine list as well. I had two glasses of the Los Vascos sauvignon blanc, and was in heaven - it paired with the crab so well!
It was a pretty pricey meal, but not for Nathan (since I gave my card to the waitress when we ordered, much to Nathan's chagrin... he said I emasculated him. Too bad - the kid pays for me way too much and we fight over checks. haha, he never saw it coming!)

My best friend is so classy, isn't he?
We were both kinda disappointed with how the inner harbor has changed. We hadn't been there since we were little so we remember it being bigger with more shopping. No matter though - we could drink this time!

Yay for impromptu trips to Baltimore! :-)
